GCR Grows Aviation Team, Expands Offerings in 2017

New Orleans-based technology and professional services firm GCR Inc. (GCR) is growing in 2017.

Tod Yankee joins the AirportIQ Business and Revenue Manager (ABRM) team as it prepares to release the latest version of its popular software. Yankee, who has served the aviation industry as a consultant for over a decade, started his career in Airport Business and Leasing at both Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and Massachusetts Port Authority. His experience will help the ABRM team release their market-tested revenue management update later this year.

Robert “Bob” Bryant is the newest member to join the FAA and State Aviation teams. Bryant has worked a 30-year career in airport management, most recently as Airport Director of Wicomico Regional Airport, serving as principal representative to the Commission. Bryant carries his expertise into the classroom where he teaches Airport Planning and Management at the collegiate level. GCR’s FAA team has decades of experience as the chosen provider for compliance and reporting solutions for Part 139 inspections, the National Based Aircraft Inventory, and the Airport Master Record safety inspections, all of which Bryant will contribute to. He will also serve as the point of contact for all AirportIQ System Manager (ASM) clients.

NEW ORLEANS, LA., MARCH 1, 2016 – GCR Inc.’s Director of Aviation Services, Tim Walsh, will speak at the 2016 American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) South Central Chapter’s annual conference. This year’s conference is being held in Galveston, Texas, at the Moody Gardens Hotel & Convention Center on March 6 through March 8. FAA and GCR to recognize City of Minden Airport manager

NEW ORLEANS, La., OCTOBER 30, 2015 – The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and New Orleans-based technology and professional services company GCR Inc. (GCR) plans to recognize Minden Airport manager Steven Burdeaux and the City of Minden Airport (MNE) for successfully using www.5010Web.com to transmit infrastructure data to the FAA. On Sept. 2, the Minden Airport became the first airport in the U.S. to electronically update its airport data, accomplishing a goal of the FAA’s Office of Airports Business Plan. Due to this success, GCR is working closely with the Office of Airports on evaluating the potential of expanding the capabilities of www.5010Web.com to accept and transmit data changes directly from all U.S. airports in the near future.

Airport manager Steven Burdeaux will be presented a plaque commemorating his and Minden Airport’s achievement during the 29th semi-annual Airport Master Record Seminar, being held in New Orleans on Nov. 2-6. GCR Inc., and the FAA’s Engineering Division, AAS-100, Airport Safety Data Program hold the training class twice a year. Attendees study in detail the elements that appear on the FAA’s Form 5010 that is used to gather information about public-use airports and aeronautical data on their landing areas.

GCR Inc.’s APC Kiosks debut in Ireland

GCR won the contract to install 12 of our newest generation APC kiosks in the Dublin Airport and as of the end of January the kiosks are live and being tested by international travelers. These kiosks are the first to use the new APC III version, which adds 38 Visa Waiver countries, and fingerprinting for biometric data capture.

Users can also select from six languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Irish. Earlier versions were only approved for U.S. and Canadian Citizens, and English was the only language available. The new APC III kiosks also have a new internal design and upgraded components, resulting in a much faster and more pleasant passenger experience.

Automated Passport Control (APC) Kiosks from GCR help expedite processing of international passenger arrivals and minimize the time most passengers spend with a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer. These airport-specific branded, self-processing kiosks collect passengers’ passport and flight information, declaration data, take photos, scan fingerprints and issue receipts. Passengers take passports and receipts to CBP officers for verification. Passengers are not required to register in advance.
